It’s been no secret lately that we have had plenty to celebrate. On November 4, we celebrated all of it as we received our Cognia District of Distinction Award. Being accredited through Cognia is an enormous undertaking that we choose to participate in because we always strive to be better. To earn accreditation through Cognia, institutions must go through a rigorous process that includes internal preparation and an external review by a team of educators. Only 11 schools WORLDWIDE
have been named a Cognia Distict of Distinction. What an accolade! Having Cognia representatives, Dr. Phyllis Gilworth (Cognia Regional Accreditation Evaluator) and Melinda Isaacs (Cognia Mid-Atlantic Regional Director) join us to present the award was quite an honor!
We had many more amazing guests join us to offer some congratulatory words and also words of motivation. Indiana Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner joined us, along with Senator Jean Leising and Indiana State Representative Alex Zimmerman. U.S. Representative Erin Houchin also joined us and had an amazing surprise as she entered South Ripley’s success in the Congressional Record. We hold deep gratitude for their time spent with us during such a busy season for them.
Dr. Jason Roseberry, CEO and President of Five Star Technology Solutions also joined us. We owe a big thank you to Five Star for sponsoring our lunch!
