Indiana Department of Environmental Management Inspires Young Environmental Stewards at South Ripley Elementary
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) recently visited South Ripley Elementary School, bringing engaging and educational Earth Day lessons to students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Throughout the day, IDEM representatives presented age-appropriate activities and discussions designed to foster an understanding and appreciation for environmental stewardship. Students participated in lessons covering topics such as recycling, conservation, pollution prevention, and the importance of protecting our planet. These Earth Day lessons were a fantastic way to connect classroom learning to real-world environmental issues.

3rd - 6th Graders will be taking the ILearn Test April 21 - May 2. Please make sure all chromebooks are fully charged.

IDEM visits SRES 5th graders in preparation of earth day to study recycling as well as habitat and life cycle of worms.

The basketball program held their awards ceremony this evening. Congrats on an outstanding season and to the award winners! Great job, Raiders!!

We are so fortunate to have such a supportive relationship with the Versailles Lion Club here at SRHS. Our National Honor Society students were honored and recognized at their meeting tonight and served a delicious meal. Just as the National Honor Society represents the highest standards in our school, the Versailles Lions Club represents some of the best people in our community! Thank you for always being there for our students!

Students at South Ripley Elementary School recently took part in the American Legion's Flag Education program. This educational initiative coincided with Veterans Day and was open to fourth-grade students in all public, private, and parochial schools. Students learned about the American flag and then took a 20-question test about the American Flag, which was administered in November as per the American Legion's guidelines.
We are incredibly proud of all our students who participated in this program, as it not only enhanced their knowledge about our national symbol but also fostered a sense of patriotism and civic responsibility. The students pictured below were the top performing students:
First Place Winners: Neoma Humes and Branch Redick
Second Place Winners: Kinley Menchhofer and Lukas Burns
Third Place Winner: Vivian Vanover and Macyn Demaree
